On behalf of WfB, Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen (Bremeninvest), we developed and designed the campaign »Heimathafen« (Home Port). With this campaign, Bremen Überseestadt (Overseas City), the 280 hectare port area of the Hansetic City that was affected by structural change, was first presented at the real estate fair Expo Real 2009.
Überseestadt is an emerging centre for the creative economy with maritime history and charm. A photo and text project makes visible the high identification of the already established companies as well as the emotional connection of the residents. 24 artists and writers dealt differently with life, work, and the urban development in Überseestadt. A kaleidoscope of artistic and journalistic views of the district in upheaval, summarized in a book and offering multimedia experience with an app. The project »Heimathafen« conveys the motivating security in sustainable investment.
