Appreciating nature

200 years of Schlossgarten (Palace Garden) in Oldenburg oppose the idea of unaffected nature and formulate a question to the visitor: What is more important to you – nature or cultural landscape?

What if the original swampy floodplain forest was preserved instead of the well-kept park in the style of an English landscape garden?

The exhibition makes it possible to compare habitats, thus raising the question of the value of nature. In wall-sized search images, goldcrests, serotine bats, peacock butterflies, and jewelwings amongst others can be searched and found in their habitats. Theme sites invite the visitor to exploration in detail. The playful preparation of the content offers the visitor an exciting exhibition tour full of discoveries.
