Lernhaus im Campus completed

School as a learning landscape – with students developing their own teaching contents independently and in groups. In the building Lernhaus im Campus (Learning House in the Campus) designed by Cologne architectural office KSG for the city of Osterholz-Scharmbeck, we implemented the interior furnishings as well as the corporate signaletic as an invigorating spatial graphic and an incisive orientation system.

Derived from the existing school logo, it supports the innovative concept of education inwards. The wall graphics as a flexibly usable pattern, colour assignment for floors and furniture, and the developed pictograms for the clear assignment of functions enable the students to orientate themselves independently in the building. Particular attention has also been paid to access areas such as corridors and stairways.

In the self-comprehension of the school these are expanding learning spaces where communication and exchange take place. Accordingly, we have developed the wall design with an iridescent colour concept in regard to a high quality of stay.
